Blessing

We had Coral's baby blessing over Labor day weekend. I barely finished her dress in time (something about having two babies and trying to do 13 credit hours of school) but it all came together just fine. She looked lovely. I have to admit, I wasn't too pleased with most of the pictures we got so here is a little preview. I'm going to take more of Coral in her dress this weekend and post them.

Baby blessing are so short. It seems like everyone drives so far to be here for such a short event that sometimes I wonder if all the hype is worth it. But I have to say, when I looked at the circle of men* gathered around my baby to bless her, my heart just swelled. What a lucky girl to have so many good men in her life. I am so thankful for the priesthood. I am so thankful for my husband who is worthy to hold it and does so honorably. I love you Karl.

*We missed you David!

First Day of School

This little girl started preschool again this year. She unexpectedly has new teachers, so I was a little worried that would throw her off. What was I thinking. She walked in, sat down on the carpet and didn't even look back. We said goodbye and she gave us a half hearted wave. She hardly ever gives me a chance to be sentimental. : ) The above photo is her picture smile.

I like it much better when I can catch her just being herself.

And just for good measure, another of my two ladies.

2 months

This smiley girl is two months old now. Well, actually she is ten weeks, but I'm just getting around to posting these pictures from her two month mark. She is so much fun. She is making a lot of cooing noises, which I just love. I could sit on the couch and talk to her all day. She is starting to sleep better (she slept eight hours last night!). She still hates her pacifier- and a new development- the bottle! Stinker. Karl has given her one several times, but all of the sudden she has decided she wants nothing to do with it. Hopefully that won't last long. Momma needs a break once in a while.

Of course Ad had to get in on the action. Funny how if you try to take a picture of her she throws her cotton candy into a crowd, but if it is of someone else, she wants in.

Sweet though. Love these two sisters. I hope they love each other when they grow up as much as I love my sisters.

Thinking

Babies are so weird. Sometimes Coral flares her nostrils. I like to think that she does it when she is thinking hard about something, but the truth is I don't know why she does it. I'm her Momma, so I think it's adorable.
