We got a new hot water heater today. Our landlord kindly put in the least efficient one he could buy. I'm sure the gas company won't be complaining about it. On the upside, it works a lot better, and it's bigger, so we won't be running out of hot water any time soon. While he was here, the plumber also fixed our water faucet on the back of the house. I thought they would have left a nice little access panel somewhere, but I guess that would have been too convenient.

Nice, huh? In other news, our dryer hasn't been working very well. I decided to investigate and see if maybe the vent was plugged up or something.

Yes, that really came out of there. The eggs are at least a year old, and there was a lot more behind all that too. Needless to say, our dryer works better now. I'm so thankful that this is only a college apartment. It's nice enough now that we've cleaned it up, but what a headache it's been!

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that you had a bird's nest in your dryer vent. No wonder it took hours to dry the towels....
