Thoughts of a new dad

So, from the dearth of recent posts and the fact that Addison is now at home, you may guess (correctly) that we are pretty busy and tired. These pictures will verify that.

Okay, so I'm not actually asleep in that picture. not yet at least. Even though she wears us out, and I'm typing with one hand right now, it's worth all of it for the sweet moments like these ones.

I find myself being amazed by how much you can love something that doesn't really do anything. Despite her lack of motor skills, it's just so much fun to snuggle her and even just watch her sleep. I never thought I would be one of those sappy dads, but it looks like I will be after all. I can only imagine how proud I will be of her when she actually starts to do things, like smile on purpose, or ride a bike. I think I'll just apologize now to all of you. Hopefully I can manage to remain a reasonable well-rounded person.

Wow, it is so cool to see her with her eyes open, already she looks different from just a couple of days ago. I miss all of you.
